- This FCC211.ZIP archive has been archived with PKZIP, Version 2.04g. This
- version contains a sample FCC database for use with the FCC Frequency
- Retrieval System, although the registered version comes with a complete
- database for any state in the US. This version of our FCC program is fully
- functional, but will you will be required to register it in order to use
- any other database. Please see the FCC2.DOC, ORDER.FRM and REVISION.HST
- files for information pertaining to the installation, operation and
- ordering of this program.
-
- The SHAREWARE archive should have the following files:

- FCC.EXE <-- The main executable
- FCC.OVL <-- Overlay file
- FCC.CFG <-- System file containing colors
- FCC.DBF <-- Sample SHAREWARE database
- FCC.DBT <-- Support memo file for FCC.DBF

-
- To install the FCC Frequency Retrieval System, simply place the program
- disk in your floppy drive and type "INSTALL x:", where the "x:" refers to
- the drive you wish FCC to be installed. NOTE: You MUST include the ":"
- when specifying the drive or you WILL have all sorts of problems. The
- install program will check several items, specifically, that all required
- files are present, that you have specified a proper drive and/or directory,
- whether you have enough disk space for the complete state being installed,
- etc.
-
- During the install, the program will copy all required files from the
- program disk to an FCC2 subdirectory in the drive you have specified, and
- will extract the state subset databases you purchased. When complete, you
- will be placed in the FCC2 directory. To run FCC, simply type "FCC" at the
- DOS prompt and press enter (or return). The rest is easy!
-
- Be sure and remove your master program disk and place it in a safe place.

- What is Shareware?
-
- Shareware is copyrighted software which is distributed by authors through
- bulletin boards, on-line services, disk vendors, and by copies being passed
- among friends. It is commercial software that you are allowed to try
- before you pay for it. This makes shareware the ultimate in money back
- guarantees.
-
- Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. There is good
- and bad shareware, just as there are good and bad retail software. The
- primary difference between shareware and retail software is that with
- shareware you know if it's good or bad before you pay for it.
-
- You benefit because you get to use the software to determine whether it
- meets your needs, before you pay for it. Authors benefit because they are
- able to get their products into your hands without the expenses it takes to
- launch a traditional retail software product.
-
- The shareware system and the continued availability of quality shareware
- products depend on your willingness to register and pay for the shareware
- you use. It is the registration fees you pay which allow us to support and
- continue to develop our products. Please show your support for shareware
- by registering those programs you actually use and by passing them on to
- others. Shareware is kept alive by your support!
